Quality of Life UpdateLet's get straight into it! * Hunting automatically picks up any reward instead of ending the hunt and then needing to claim the reward. * Hunting user logs have been changed to hold more precise information - wolf levels, which type of hunt, which prey they caught. * Hunts are now counted when they're sent, not when they return - meaning hunts collected just after rollover should no longer deplete a hunt for the day. * You can now flag your topics in the forums for deletion. This will automatically hide your topic from public listing and prevent other players from responding to it. Moderators will then be notified that your topic has been flagged for deletion and can handle them. This should negate the need to create a Modbox ticket to get a topic deleted. * Sticky News topics weren't properly sticking. This is now fixed both on the News board and the main News page. * A new section called "Crafting Collection" lists all recipes in the game. This Collection shows which recipes you've learned, and which unlearned recipes you have in your hoard. Each recipe name links to a Trading Center search for that item. The button to find the Crafting Collection is found on the crafting page under the recipes list. * The Nesting Material crafting UI has been updated to hopefully make it easier to choose which items to use. * The daily Rollover notification now includes a warning about food that will rot in the next rollover. * When editing a cave, you can now set a manual cave order using numbers - this should hopefully update most places across the site, but primarily is for your Den. * There are a group of new indicator icons on den pages: Nested, showing up when a wolf is pregnant and has a nest applied. Not Nested, showing up when a wolf is on its last rollover of pregnancy and has no nest applied. This only shows up if you don't have Autonesting. Raffle, showing up when a wolf is listed as a prize in a raffle. Gift, showing up when a wolf is offered to another player in a Gift, instead of the usual Trade icon. * In a similar fashion, there are three new notices that appear on den pages: A nesting notice appears when you have pregnant wolves without nests on the last rollover of their pregnancies. If you have autonesting, this notice won't appear as they will get nested automatically by the feature. Notices will also show up when either your FAPA or Autonesting is due to expire. These notices appear when either of the tools have 7 rollovers or less remaining on your account. * The Family pages for wolves should now begin listing deceased offspring and deceased adopted offspring. This is still experimental, as it potentially adds a lot more wolves loading on one page, so may be subject to tweaks in future. * Befriended chased wolves now have a badge on their pages beside their sex to indicate that they were found in explore as a chased wolf. * Enclave puppies that can be adopted are now released in waves: the first wave is at 00:00 WD time, the second wave is at 06:00, the third wave is at 12:00, and the fourth wave is at 18:00. Puppies are assigned into a wave randomly when left at the enclave. * Pupsitters that are protecting puppies, and are nearing the death roll age, will now send out notifications in the Rollover log to warn you that they are approaching this age. Any pupsitters that get to the death roll age and are still protecting puppies also send out notifications. * Wolves that are approaching elder stage and are due to either come into heat, or remain in heat, have had the heat notification adjusted. The counter will now correctly show that a wolf in heat with 4 rollovers left at her final breeding age will actually only have one rollover of heat left. Wolves that are approaching the final breeding age before their next heat will have their cooldown time replaced with a notification that no more heats are possible. * Every puppy born with a mutation or secondary mutation - not just lethals - will now get a special mention in the birth notification. * Custom decor creators can now view a list of all wolves that are currently wearing the decors they made. Server Migration UpdateAs mentioned in this news post we began purchasing and preparing new servers to move Wolvden so that we have a more robust setup for the game and hopefully reduce a lot of lag and other issues. We were planning to move both Lioden and Wolvden onto fresh new servers, so this has been a long, arduous job. Wolvden has already had its image processing moved onto a separate server which has helped enormously with lag already, but we're still planning to move everything else onto fresh new servers. Our sister game, Lioden, has just been moved! We're still working on some of the finalising tweaks over there, but that means it's nearly time for Wolvden to have its time to move. Very soon, likely within the next week or two, Wolvden will be going into maintenance for an extended period of time. We expect it will take no longer than a day for the maintenance to happen - sometimes things go wrong, and it may take a little longer. We will pause Rollover while this happens. We will give an on-site notice around an hour before we're going down into maintenance. We're unsure how long Lioden's tweaks will make, so we're not committing to an exact day yet - but we will also try to give notice of the day we plan to move Wolvden. |
